Election 2021

Rambo Jatta says he knows how the UDP thinks

Article by: Omar Tunkara

On Friday, President Barrow and his grand coalition members headed to CRR North to continue convincing Gambians that they are the best for this country amid a rousing welcome in Niani.

Niani being a recognised APRC stronghold, Ousman Rambo Jatta- the first deputy party leader of the former ruling party- was given the chance to address the gathering filled with APRC supporters. He reminded them against voting for the main opposition to Barrow’s administration which he identified as the UDP.

“This election is like the war between Palestine and Israel,” Rambo Jatta said. He added, “there are people in this country who believe that they own this land; therefore, they are fighting who ever stands between them and their beliefs. When we leave here, they will come, but they will come with anger this time.”

”Don’t be fooled by what they will tell you. Their leader has no good intentions for this country; he is so self-centered that his interest stands above anyone else’s in this country. May Allah forbid us from a UDP government in this country because I know Darboe personally. We were together in the same party which is UDP; so I know how they think,” he concluded.

Baboucarr Jallow, the National People’s Party Chairman in Wassu, made complains of some of the shortcomings his constituency faces in accessing health services.

“Mr. president, we first acknowledge the support your administration has rendered to us in recent times, but we still have shortcomings in accessing health services within Wassu and it’s surroundings, especially between Wassu and Sare Malal where a lot of patients die before getting to the nearest hospital,”  Chairman Jallow highlighted.

The people of Wassu hope for better health care facilities when Barrow wins the election.
