Comium Introduces 4G+ Network, Aims for Affordable Internet in The Gambia

Comium has rolled out its 4G+ network, a move designed to provide affordable internet access. The company, serving Gambians since 2007, partnered with investor Monty Mobile to upgrade its network.
During the trial phase, users found the 4G+ service to be a cost-effective internet solution. The official announcement came during a press conference on January 10, 2024, marking the start of Comium’s commercial 4G+ operations.
Abubacar Drammeh, the Director of Internet Service Provider, expressed Comium’s excitement about introducing the 4G+ service, believing it could reshape digital connectivity for Gambians. The company aims to offer the most economical 4G+ network, addressing the evolving needs of its users.
Drammeh highlighted Monty Mobile’s unique approach and its role in making Comium a leading network service provider in The Gambia. The positive impact has been felt nationwide.
Throughout 2023, Monty Mobile invested significantly in Comium’s infrastructure and created jobs for young Gambians. The network and data overhaul ensure extensive coverage, promising a competitive network.
With the slogan “We Are Better Together,” Comium invited all Gambians to test their new 4G+ Network starting in May 2023. The positive response allowed users to enjoy the service for free, providing valuable feedback for further improvement.
Drammeh assured users of Comium’s commitment to improving the digital experience, with plans to introduce various value-added services. He thanked users for their support, promising an affordable network in the upcoming commercial phase.
Sarjo Khan, the Commercial Director, expressed gratitude for the population’s embrace of Comium’s transformation, emphasising the company’s commitment to providing accessible and affordable services.
Isatou G. Ceesay, the Commercial Manager, announced the long-awaited launch of the 4G+ alongside accompanying services and packages, marking a milestone achievement for Comium.
