Election 2021

Barrow finally responds- with a stern voice- to Darboe’s Sarahule tribe comment

Article by: Omar Tunkara

Darboe blasted the Serahules for their desire to take ownership of the president even whereas they never alone voted him into power in 2016.

“My father (Darboe) is now afraid that he is loosing all the Sarahule to my camp. That is why he made those comments out of anger; but don’t be threatened by his comments. You don’t have to be afraid of voting me because as long as I am the president, I will stand for you through thick and thin.

I am a son of Jimara, so I am part of you not like them. They will come here and falsely claim that Gambisara belongs to them, but I have spoken to the eldest man in the village, and he told me that all the opposition members that came here are photocopies. I am the true original native of Jimara and Gambisara,” President Barrow confidently stated in the highly attended meeting.

Meanwhile in Basse, the Gambian leader made a pronouncement on the new measures his government has taken in addressing the electricity challenges in URR.

“On the 24 of this month, the Basse electricity grid will be connected to our neighbour Senegal to enable Basse and it’s surroundings to access electricity 24 hours a day,” President Barrow announced in his campaign meeting in Basse.

URR has been struggling with regular electricity supply for many years with many communities accessing power supply once every three days. This new development from the president will be highly anticipated and welcomed.
