TAF Global Empowers 320 Graduates with Leadership and Entrepreneurial Skills

TAF Africa Global’s annual TAFCON program on December 27th concluded its 6th edition, marking the graduation of 320 fellows who underwent a comprehensive year-long training in leadership and entrepreneurship. The initiative, designed to champion youth employment and nurture budding entrepreneurs, equips participants with practical skills to navigate today’s economic challenges.

This year’s TAFCON Conference and Networking event, themed “Rising Strong – Resilience and Preparedness to Navigate the Challenges of an Emerging New Global Architecture,” centered around empowering youth and fostering entrepreneurship in the face of challenging economic times.

Mustapha Njie, CEO of TAF Global, highlighted the program’s significance, emphasising its role in empowering youth and instilling fortitude for success in both personal and professional spheres. Njie stressed the values of integrity, ethics, and morality as crucial for realising one’s dreams.

“To empower young individuals to overcome challenges and thrive in their personal and professional lives, we organized interactive sessions and panel discussions aimed at building their resilience and ability to navigate uncertainties effectively,” explained Mr. Njie.

Hon. Bakary Y. Badjie, Minister of Youth and Sports, expressed government’s commitment to collaborating with TAF Global in addressing issues affecting young people. He assured participants of the government’s support in funding, capacity building, and creating a conducive policy environment for youth entrepreneurship.

Minister of Trade Regional Integration and Employment, Babucarr Joof, encouraged graduates to leverage the event as a networking platform with like-minded individuals in the business community. Joof highlighted government’s efforts to address challenges faced by young entrepreneurs, including the introduction of the first-ever entrepreneurship policy.

Dr. Omar A. Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission, advised fellows to have a clear vision of their future and outlined necessary actions to achieve their goals. Participants expressed gratitude for the life-changing opportunity, promising to apply the knowledge gained.

The program successfully brought together various stakeholders, encouraging discussions on crucial issues affecting the nation and the African continent.
