Gambia’s Ambassador to France presents Letters of Credence to Heads of State of Portugal and Romania

The Ambassador of the Republic of the Gambia to the Republic of France with cumulative responsibility to the Republics of Portugal, Romania and Hungary, His Excellency Ebrima Ousman Camara, on Wednesday 20th October, 2021 presented his Letters of Credence to the President of Portugal, His Excellency Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa at a ceremony held in Lisbon.

In a similar engagement, the Gambian Ambassador also presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Romania, His Excellency Klaus Loannis in an online ceremony held on 19th October, 2021. Ambassador Camara first and foremost conveyed fraternal greetings and message of best wishes from the President of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency President Adama Barrow to President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and President Klaus Loannis.

Discussions centered on ways and means of deepening excellent relations between The Gambia and the Republics of Portugal and Romania. It is against this backdrop that the Presidents of Portugal and Romania expressed resolve to strengthen cooperation with The Gambia especially in areas that could boost human capital.

Ambassador Camara is scheduled to present his Letters of Credence to the President of Hungary, His Excellency János Áder at a date to be communicated.
